Koichi KT Tamura Appointed as Non-executive Board Member

Drawing on his extensive experience and knowledge, KT continues to advise CBA on its various management agenda including but not limited to geo economical security, sustainability and people agenda by improving on business strategies and enhancing impact it makes, centered around strengthening corporate governance. CBA will continue to intensify its efforts to improve organizational productivity and achieve sustainable growth.
Background: CBA is committed to enhancing corporate governance in anticipation of further business growth and expansion. KT has held various investment banking, M&A advisory and Private Equity fund investment practice leadership roles with several global firms over the past three decades. His diverse business leadership background, with significant experience and knowledge in investment portfolio management and business operations, management and people development, is expected to contribute greatly to CBA’s future growth and adaptable leadership.
Background of Koichi KT Tamura: KT currently serves as non-executive independent board member and senior advisor to several global businesses and organizations, including Chairman and Representative Director of CDP Worldwide Japan.
KT began his professional career in 1992 with Price Waterhouse (PwC) in New York and later in Tokyo providing Business Advisory, M&A Advisory and Management Consulting services. From 2001 to 2007, he was with Carlyle, CDP Capital and WebHut in the private equity investment business in Japan, Asia and in the US. From 2008 to 2018, KT led various global businesses and projects at Deloitte as senior partner (Tokyo, LDN, SG), where he was Head of the Investment Banking and M&A business, a member of the Global Advisory Council and firm wide leadership, and global client services leader for several global companies. From 2018 to 2023, KT was a member of the Global Executive Committee, Head of EYSaT Japan Markets and Head of EY Investment Banking Asia Pacific Region at EY. Throughout is professional life, KT has been passionately involved in leadership and people development programs working on a number of projects including the Dean of Leadership Development Program at Deloitte University. KT’s purpose is to make impact that matters for the betterment of industry, society, people and planet. He is a US CPA (State of New York).
