What is Privacy Mark?
The Privacy Mark is a certification system in Japan that recognizes organizations for their strong privacy practices. It is awarded to companies that have implemented appropriate measures to protect personal information and comply with the Japanese Personal Information Protection Law. The Privacy Mark serves as a symbol of trust and reliability for consumers, who can be confident that their personal information is being handled appropriately by certified organizations.
How did we accomplish this?
To obtain the Privacy Mark certification in Japan, CBA applied to the Japan Institute for Promotion of Digital Economy and Community (JIPDEC). We underwent a comprehensive assessment of their personal information management practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with the Japanese Personal Information Protection Law. The assessment covers areas such as data collection, storage, usage, sharing, and disposal.
